Tina Guo

I know you must be wondering, who is this beauty playing electric cello? Her name: Tina Guo.



Tina Guo (Pronounced "G-woah") was born in China. She began music on piano at age three. At five, she moved to the United States and began violin, and shortly after switched to the cello. She later received professional cello lessons at the University of Southern California Thorton School of Music on a full scholarship.

Tina is now 26, and a cello virtuoso. She balances a career as a performer, composer, producer, and even has published writings. Her musical work is focused between classical cello, and also rock/metal.

She solos for Cirque du Soleil, has played for an all girl metal group touring around the world: Metaphor, played for San Diego Symphony, State of Mexico National Symphony, Thessaloniki State Symphony in Greece, Bari Symphony in Italy, Petrobras Symphony in Brazil, Barra Manssa Symphony in Brazil, and the Vancouver Island Symphony.

Tina has also played at American Country Music Awards for Carrie Underwood, performed at Dancing with the Stars, played at the Grammys, American Idol, and much much more. She has shared the stage with many stars, such as Stevie Wonder, Josh Groban, John Legend, etc. etc. etc.

For her electric cello, she plays a Cambiare Guo, her own line of customized cellos.

Tina is very active online having an official website, Youtube channel, Facebook, and blog. Her music is available on itunes. One is a classical album titled Autumn Winds, and the other is a metal album titled The Journey. She has lots of philosophies on living life to the fullest and openly talks about her life's wondrous adventures as a musician.
